Biotechnology Information System Network - An Overview

Online Information Retrieval:

(i) The scientists, research scholars (M.V.Sc & Ph.D), teaching faculties, of TANUVAS and other units of TANUVAS are retrieving the scientific information for their research on their own at free of cost utilizing the Internet facilities available at Bioinformatics centre.

Offline Information Retrieval :

Information is being retrieved from CDROM based databases to scientists and research scholars of TANUVAS and others. The information is retrieved from offline CDROM databases (Veterinary Science Database, Animal Production Database Derwent Biotechnology Abstracts, MEDLINE FSTA, ASFA, ERIC. A total of 18079 scientists and research scholars have been benefited by the literature retrieval service provided by this centre.(TANUVAS:8780, Other universities:8069 and other states:1230)
